# Error when creating personal verified customer

When we try to create an individual customer, and put type = “personal”, we get this error:

However, that is the value specified in your documentation.

This has been resolved. We had included the following fields in the original payload. The API call worked properly when we removed these fields:

“businessClassification”: null,  
“businessType”: null,  
“ein”: null,  
“controller”: null,  
“businessName”: null
