Continuing the discussion from Setting a funding source to removed = false:
Hi @paul.yeo – once a funding-source is removed, to re-add it, you can simply add the bank account again as a new funding-source.
As for the error "resource cannot be modified", it is thrown when attempting to update an already existing resource that isn’t in a state that allows it to be modified.

Digging up an old post, but @paul.yeo did you manage to make this work? I am trying to “re-add” an account that has been soft deleted (with “removed=true”) and receiving the error:

It seems that the bank may still be active in our system. Would you be able to share it’s ID?
The id is 30df8d48-b39d-4796-8ccb-350c43245a66. I checked the data for it via the API and can see 'removed': True,, which I assumed meant it had been removed.
Hi @matt – Thanks for the ID! it looks like there was a blip when the bank was initially removed and re-added on 04/04/2022 which caused the status to appear as removed in the API while it was already active.
I just corrected the status discrepancy, and you should now be able to view the funding-source as active and unverified. Apologies for the trouble! Please let me know if you see otherwise!
