While creating customer I get error ‘State must be 2-letter abbreviation’. I’m sure i’m sending it in way like this: ‘IO’ (I’ve tested other states also). Tried lowercase, uppercase. Problem is current, never had these problems before. Can someone explain what is wrong?
When creating a Customer we require a U.S. state to be a two-letter abbreviation.
Per your post, it looks like the state you are trying to associate with your customer is "IO."
Have you tried using a state abbreviation from the United States Postal Service?
I’ve never seen the state abbreviation of “IO” but the API is unable to understand the state, which is why the error is being thrown.
I used states: FM & PW. but API is still showing the error " State must be 2-letter abbreviation". I had double-checked the list with postal service and it exists!

Our API covers states and U.S. territories only. Under the Compact of Free Association, FM & PW are neither one of these
but it is there in Appendix B | Postal Explorer.
