# Trigger max attempts

Hello,

It seems that I am unable to reliably trigger a max attempts error in the dwolla sandbox for verifying micro deposits. I have been submitting invalid amounts over 11 cents repeatedly and sometimes it will take 20 plus submissions before I receive a 403 error vs a 400. I wanted to reach out to ask if there was a more reliable way for me to test a my failed scenario or to find out if there is another reason this is happening.

Hi @Pasquariello – you can actually simulate the max attempts error for verifying microdeposits by using the amounts “`0.09`” and “`0.09`” when calling the API to verify micro-deposits.
