Verified customer - what address to use?

#1

For a verified customer, what address are we asking of the customer? Specifically, lets say someone has multiple residences, which address are we asking for?

Hey, @Mlee I’ll preface this by explaining a bit about our process of verifying a Customer.
When a Customer is going through the identity verification process, the data they input will be scrubbed against a third-party identity verifier. This is used to ensure that we can properly verify the identity of the Customer signing up. To learn more about this process and why we are required to do this, feel free to check out this article explaining our Know Your Customer procedures.

Now onto your question.

what address are we asking of the customer?

If you are creating a personal Verified Customer, we require a street address of the Customer’s permanent residence.

Specifically, let’s say someone has multiple residences, which address are we asking for?

In this case of a Customer having more than one address, we do not discriminate against which address a Customer uses. I would, however, recommend the address the Customer has been living at for the longest time.
For instance, consider a situation where your Customer just bought a second home two days ago. They use this new address in their Customer creation. Our third-party identity verifier may not recognize this new address and may not be able to verify your Customer.
