Can you tell me which state use for while create verified customer?

And i tried ‘NY’ state for example. But other people create verified customer that’s time they used own state.
Then it gives error “state has 2 character in abbreation” like that
Can you suggest which state allows while create verified customer?

When creating a verified Customer, we require a two-letter abbreviation on the state parameter.
For a list of available state abbreviations, check out this reference provided by the US Postal Service. We also recommend that your front-end form allows only two characters to be input.
