We have $50000 in Dwolla Balance, when trying to send funds ($50000), it says insufficient balance. Have always faced this error, never able to send funds from Dwolla Dashboard.
Hi @chirag – could you share your Balance ID? We can take a look on our end to see what’s preventing you from withdrawing.
Do you have a Dwolla email where I can security send this info.?
Chirag
Hi Shreya,
I really need to process this today. Any chance we can get one a call and I can share my account?
Chirag
I was able to write code and complete my transfer programmatically. Your team should still fix the Send Funds option on Dwolla Portal.

Hi @chirag – glad you got the transfer created!
Were you attempting to facilitate a transfer from one Customer to another Customer? I see one transfer for that amount that was created yesterday (id: 93ecc3f6-c45c-ee11-8171-886f940dcc34). Facilitation between customers isn’t support via the dashboard. This would have to be done via an API call.
You can only send funds to Customers from your Main Dwolla Account Balance via the Send Funds option in the Dashboard. That is likely why you were getting an insufficient funds error since the main Dwolla Balance does not have the amount you were attempting to transfer.
Hope this clarifies the functionality supported by in the Dashboard. Let us know if you have any questions!
Available balance on Main Dashboard was showing $50000 in the screen shot below, when I got to the horizontal three-dot menu and click on Send Funds, it was only showing $1000 as available. That was the bug and it is still a bug,
Just try this in your dev. Env: have a balance on main dashboard of $50000 and try to send funds and you will see the issue.
I’m still seeing that the balance in the Main Dwolla account under your email is $1000. The $50000 balance that you are referring to belonged to this Business Verified Customer with the ID 7807b063-325a-4d71-a264-b051e0f65578. Since they are a Customer, their balance cannot be used to send funds from in the Dashboard.
Ok got it. Thanks
