Query regarding Business Verified Customer

I have following queries related to creation of Customer.

Business Verified Customer - BVC

  1. Does Dwolla provide any other portal/channel to add “Business Verified Customer” in production instead of adding it using customer API? If yes, please share the reference.
  2. Can we use Postman tool to add BVC in production environment?
  3. What is the approximate duration of verification process of “Business Verified Customer”? Please suggest the steps involved in verification process.
  4. Apart from the fields mentioned in API doc for “Business Verified Customer” do we need any other additional fields to add “Business Verified Customer”
  5. What all documents needs to be submitted for verification process? Can we upload documents using Dwolla portal instead of using documents api?

Unverified Customer
6. Can we add account details instantly after adding unverified customer, since the customer status would be “Unverified”?

Scenario:

I have created two application and generated two different client_id and client_secret pairs. Next I generated two different access_tokens and tried adding customer with same email with different access_tokens, but the system is not allowing to add same customer to different applications.

What is the purpose of creating applications within same account? Please provide more details regarding applications and above scenario?

    - Yes – you can use one of our Drop-in components to onboard a Business Verified Customer. Here’s a step-by-ster guide - Building With Drop-in Components | Dwolla API Documentation

  2. Can we use Postman tool to add BVC in production environment?
    - We don’t recommend this since the BVC would need to enter their own information and agree to your and Dwolla’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Services.

  3. What is the approximate duration of verification process of “Business Verified Customer”? Please suggest the steps involved in verification process.

    - Here are the types of documents you might need to upload for a Customer. You would have to upload the documents via the API.

Unverified Customer
6. Can we add account details instantly after adding unverified customer, since the customer status would be “Unverified”?
- Yes – you can start adding a funding-source to a Customer as soon as they are created.

What is the purpose of creating applications within same account? Please provide more details regarding applications and above scenario?

Having multiple active applications doesn’t provide any benefit. It’s when you’re wanting t rotate your application’s credentials that you can create a new application, have us approve it, and then suspend the old application.
